Transmission, ABS, or something else? (2004 V70)
Car is an '04 V70 with 130K miles. I drove the car last week from Nashville to Ft. Lauderdale (850 miles) with zero problems. Car has clean oil and has been well maintained, with no warning messages/indicators turned on until it started acting up today. About 5-10 minutes into my drive to lunch, the...

Re: Switch to synthetic in a V70 with 118K miles?
Agreed, Georgeandkira. I'm in the habit of changing my dino oil at 3K miles, but I want the synthetic in there for startup and to keep the crud levels down. It's helped me put 200K mostly worry free miles on the S60, so I figure that it might be doing something right. I'm s stickler for clean engine...

Re: Thoughts on selling my S60
Yeah, I'm about 90% certain that I'll sell the Infinity at this point, mainly due to the great condition of the S60, and the poor gas milage of the SUV. Due to the low miles for it's age, the Infinity is actually worth a bit more anyway. jblackburn, any idea what a clutch replace is going to cost me?

Re: Fuel filter recall
Thanks rspi. I didn't realize that you can search for recalls like that, but should have. It looks like this cars had a fuel sensor recall in 2007, but the fix has been performed. Looks like I'm in good shape!

Re: Switch to synthetic in a V70 with 118K miles?
Many thanks - I'm glad for all the feedback. I'm switching to synthetic and I'll probably use Mobile 1. I know it's not considered the ultimate in synthetic oil, but it's worked great in my S60, so I might as well use it in this one too.
JRL, I'll check out the PVC system before switching over.

Switch to synthetic in a V70 with 118K miles?
I just bought a 2004 V70 (non turbo) from my uncle, who maintains his cars very well. I'm wondering if it's too late for me to change from regular oil to synthetic. The engine doesn't leak oil, and I haven't owned it long enough to know how much it burns, if any. I started using synthetic in my S60 ...

Fuel filter recall
I got a notice a while back about a fuel filter recall for my 2002 S60, and I'm scheduled to take it to the dealer for a replacement in two weeks. I bought a 2004 V70 last week, and when I called the dealership and gave them the VIN for that car, they said it wasn't covered in the recall. This is co...

Thoughts on selling my S60
I've got a 2002 S60 T5 (manual trans) that I bought in 2004 with 56K miles, and it now has 196K miles. I've maintained it well and it runs great. I've recently purchased a 2004 V70 (non turbo) from my uncle. The car has 117K miles and has also been maintained well. I also have a 1997 Infinity QX4 SU...

Trying to decide between USA Spec and iMIV iPod adapters
I have an HU613 head unit in both my 2002 S60 and 2004 V70. I'm wanting to connect my iPod/iPhone to the sound system, as well as control the device via the steering wheel controls. Does anyone have any thoughts about which one is better?
