Re: Tight Power Steering - Just Started
In addition to the binding, if you notice popping noises from the front end while turning and going over a bump, it could be the upper strut mounts are worn out. The steering on my S60 was binding up at times. I replaced the struts with coilovers and all binding and popping noise stopped. I recently...

Re: Engine Vibration
Engine/Transmission mounts. I had the same symptoms and replacing the lower mounts solved my problem. I had already replaced the upper mount.

Re: new 2016 S80 oil and filter questions
Changing your own oil will not void your warranty. Just keep records and receipts. I would not do the 10,000 mile oil change interval either unless it was all highway miles. I change mine every six months regardless of mileage. I do mostly short trips, 7 miles to work daily. I can't offer info on th...

TB gasket is not re-usable. However, if you go with XemodeX they will include one with your order.

Re: 2001 V70 T5 Slight Surge 1600RPM light throttle
If it is the ETM, XeModeX is a good choice. That's what I did. Runs great, plug and play. I did not have to remove the manifold, just the radiator fan assy and associated piping.

Re: 2001 V70 T5 Slight Surge 1600RPM light throttle
The ETM is located at the front of the engine under the intake manifold right in the center. The label faces the radiator.

Re: 2001 V70 T5 Slight Surge 1600RPM light throttle
Mine did this right before the ETM failed. But with 205k miles I doubt you have the original ETM. What color is the sticker on the ETM? If it is white you might look into that as your source of the problem.

Now that you mention it, yes. It was not slow by any means but pages do seem to load faster.

Re: Your 2001-2002 with auto tranny - issues?
My 2001 S60 T-5 with 119,000 miles has had no issues. I bought it in 2007 with 73,000 miles and have done two drain and fills with 12 quarts of Mobil JWS 3309 fluid each. Plus I installed an inline filter from IPD. I changed the filter at 12,000 miles per IPDs recommendation. I had the local dealers...

2001 S60 T-5 Kinda Proud of Myself and Thanks
Hello all In the last couple of weeks my car has had an alternator failure and ETM failure. I replaced the alternator with a rebuilt Bosch unit from Eeuroparts. I replaced the ETM with a rebuilt one from XeMODeX. The car runs sooooo much better now. I realize the ETM has been acting up for a while n...
