Taking a chance that someone is still looking at this thread. I have the same symptom and most likely the same problem. My question is how you decided that it was the passenger side CV. Why not the driver side? Why not both?

Also, what part number did you purchase from NAPA?

Thanks, but I already have the CCM out of the car. Now I want to take it apart so that I can get to the little circuit board just behind the CCM face plate and replace the broken thermistor.

Do you know how to do that?
