Hey guys, so I'm tearing into this engine and I come across where I have to install tool 999-5452 at the rear of the camshaft. Now my problem is how am I supposed to get off the black cap on the left (red circle):

Looks like just from neglect, lack of coolant. No visible damage, leaks or evidence of stoppage anywhere. OK, will tear into it and update.

Okay, so if the block has those signs it is toast and un-repairable? So engine swap is called for if so? Just wanted to clarify, I am going to start to disassemble and inspect today. Will take some pics and post for your thoughts if that's alright. Thanks again.
