is the CEL On? if so what codes? I would lean towards the MAF. Call it coincidence. Codes may or may not confirm it for you. Buy a New or reman MAF & be done with it.

It was the rear O2 sensor. Replaced it, smell is gone & car is running fine. Thanks for all the suggestions again

P0422 Is a cat code but could be o2 sensor causing the code. Since I have no codes or light I'm leaning towards 1 or both O2 sensors. I have not had a chance to get a reading on the sensors. I'll keep you posted through here.
