Re: Which line to the fuel rail? 2002 Volvo S40

Thanks! As soon as the monsoon-like rains and wind stops(gusts over 65 MPH), I plan to go out and put the most-excellent advice of you two guys to the test. If my guess, and alsnertzes keen eyesight were wrong, DeadErics advice on blowing into the tubing will likely point to the line connected to th...

Which line to the fuel rail? 2002 Volvo S40

2002 Volvo S40 turbo American Spec. Ok, I'd like to be able to blame someone else :D ....but after a pint or three I pulled out the evap purge AND fuel lines....and forgot which one is the fuel line. My guess is that it's the center one in the photo (if the photo uploads). If not, at the firewall th...

Re: volvo part 30819264

Thanks! I took a better look and THINK that this covers the intermediate bearing on the passenger side axle. I need to go out there tonight and see. If not...I'll be back

Re: 2002 S40 Dwonpipe...not cat

Answering my own question.

It would work, but the wife wanted to be as close to stock (for emissions testing reasons) as possible. I re-used the 6cm angle-flange and an aftermarket catalytic converter. Works fine, but not as sexy or future-proof I'd say

volvo part 30819264

Pushing to finally get my rebuilt 2002 s40 turbo back on the road. I took the old powerplant/drivetrain and sent it all to the recycler for cash. I bouget a box of parts form a Volvo aficionado who assured me everything he took out of his S40 was in the box. I later bought a transmission and a long ...

2002 S40 Dwonpipe...not cat

OK, so the rebuilt engine, new transmission, exhaust, 14t hybrid turbo and Upsolute tune is ready to go in this weekend...and I snapped off two studs in the turbo exhaust housing angle flange. "Not a problem!" I say to myself, then proceed to go through 8 drill bits without being able to extract. I ...

Re: 2002 Volvo S40 Turbo, coolant line to intake

Thanks! Just finished putting everything back together. I hope to get it all sorted out and to the dyno for base tuning in a month or so.

2002 Volvo S40 Turbo, coolant line to intake

Hi All, I have the engine and transmission out of the car for a transmission swap, and want to know if I can delete the intake-manifold coolant heater lines by capping it at the thermostat and engine block? I'm thinking it will be fine, but wanted to see if anyone could verify. I figure that removin...

Re: Hard time finding parts

Nobody? Well, I guess a drill/tap for a permanent barb-end fitting, trim the tube and use silicone hose to connect the two it is!

Thanks!

Re: Hard time finding parts

OK, I spent some time looking for the receiving end clips and grommets on several websites similar to the one above. I can't find the parts. The part number for the vacuum tube is 30620958. The end of this part that fits into the intake has a retainer/clip, and there's a grommet (or a rubber gasket)...
