Re: 02 XC70 - Revs/bunny hopping/AC
Could be the Bosch throttle body beginning to require a clean (or just beginning to break down) You didn't mention whether check engine light comes on. Nope, no check engine light and no notifications on the screen but I haven't been able to check any codes as yet. Thanks for the lead though, I'll ...

Re: Uhaul Trailer Tow with V70?
G'day, You'll be fine towing a small trailer. You'd be fine towing a large trailer and if you have a turbo, you'll be fine towing a car trailer with a car on it. As long as your car is in good repair and isn't due for a service yesterday you'll be fine. I can't help but take the piss here - but yes,...

Old thread coming back alive..... Question for the pro: Stabilus 9485547 $27/each on Amazon.com. This is OEM. Strong-Arm 4334 ($23/each at Advance Autoparts, and $18/each online etc.). Made is USA, is this any good? As no pro has answered you, I'll chime in. I would personally just get the OEM or a...

02 XC70 - Revs/bunny hopping/AC
Hi guys, I've done some searching and I've found variations of my problems but not my mix of symptoms. I'm hoping someone here can shed some light! We have a late 02 XC70, model year MY03. It's got roughly 175,000km on the clock and all-in-all, it's a fairly good, reliable car. But, we're getting a ...

Re: Trying to decide between USA Spec and iMIV iPod adapters
I tried a similar one to thr made by Yaltour. It works fine in the 850 but the XC70 version just doesn't work that well - the sound quality is quite variable and I do wonder if its triggered a change on levels with the head unit - eg. the headunit thinks that a changer comes with a sub or something ...

Re: What tool to use
I grabbed a set of trim tools from the local car shop which are plastic and don't scratch the plastic like metal does, they come in various widths and curves so you can lift the edge up and push the wires under. Re: Remove battery cable for audio component install?
I agree, when doing anything with electrics in cars all the literature says to disconnect the battery. You could also think of it this way: keep it connected and you can fry yourself or a component. Disconnect it and you just have something that doesn't work afterwards that can be fixed - or reset c...
