I am a mechanic and the garage I work at has a autoparts store as well. plus I have pails of vacuum elbows ,hose plastic tubing and so on, I don't pay for most of my parts either so ya 20$ covered it and a oil change with a wix filter.

98 s70 engine specs
my Volvo s70 is registered as a t5 and has the t5 badge on the rear of the car . it has the original engine but the engine sticker on the hood sais engine family 2.43 isn't the t5 a 2.3?

ya the original lines were very brittle and broken. I reused the box and the hose going from the box to the block the rest is all new .

so Friday I put a nitrile glove over the oil filler and it blew up like a rooster head. today I took the intake off cleaned the oil separator box witch was is good shape but dirty. changed all the vacuum lines and put it back together with a new intake gasket. started it up put the glove over the oi...

i was considering doing the timing belt because even though it is about 40 000km away from needing to be done it has been sitting for a year without running, i took the cover off and the belt looks good with no cracks and some real miner rust on the pulley surfaces but it makes no bearing noises or ...

the garage that I work at is also a autoparts so I have access to every size of hose and copper tubing you can get and tons of elbows and I have a new intake gasket so Saturday I am going to pull it apart and see were it is plugged .

I was looking at the car thismorning anf found what appears to be a broken vacuum line coming off of the intake on the passenger side of the carthat seems to curve and head under the intake. is this pcv related?

1999 s70 t5 timing belt
my s70 t5 has the hydraulic tensioner timing belt but all the listings at the autoparts seem to be with the mechanical tensioner because my car was made before a certain date. would I be safe to get the full kit from a 1998
