Re: 2002 v70 AC/Heater switch not functioning
Definitely heat related. Now that's it's cool again, no problem. Hmm....

Went to drive to store- car sitting in shade. Switch works, fan works, blows cold. Car sits in 90 Alabama heat while at store- I turn the car on and back to the switch not working.
So, the fan is good, the switch is good, and the AC is good. What next?

Re: 2002 v70 AC/Heater switch not functioning
Fair enough: I have the base model so there is no temperature setting. I turn the key on, and there is no fan, and the switch makes no difference- after driving down the road, a fan comes on and blows cold air, but it is also not controllable by the switch. After I turn the key off, the fan (and yes...

Re: 2002 v70 AC/Heater switch not functioning
I turned fan and radio off. Waited 10 min. Took positive then negative terminal off. Touched them together for 10 secs. Put key in position 2. Connected first positive then negative. Would that not work?

2002 v70 AC/Heater switch not functioning
Two weeks ago an alternator went and I had it replaced. Yesterday, the switch for the AC stopped doing anything. AC still blew- I"m assuming maybe the automatic system, but the fan switch doesn't work. I tried resetting the ECU, but no joy. My next thing to try, based on forum searches, seems t...

Nope. Plug and play. At least it was for my 2002 v70.

Re: New water pump needed with cam/timing belt replacement?
You can buy, on ebay, a kit for $125. that includes the belt, pullies, tensioner and water pump. The cheapest my local (and very honest) repair place could get it for was $250. They then charged me $300. labor. It's certainly not something, especially given the interrupting valve situation, that I w...

Tail light madness.
Just bought a clone of my 2002 V70 for my son (it's actually a 2001, but same color and looks identical). The only problem with it was a bulb position sensor light and a check brake light. When I got bulbs to replace (right rear brake and reverse light) and tried to install them, the two sides of th...

Re: trailer wiring question...
For me, nothing like the $109. OEM one from IPD. 3 minutes to install, the right grommet, and my trailer lights are brighter than they've ever been. I'm cheap, but it was a no-brainer for me.
