Re: 1998 V70 high crankcase pressure episodes
I experienced the exact same problem (new PCV, used the bigger hose upgrade, slightly enlarged the PTC ports and thoroughly cleaned it), everything was fine for 5k miles, then it blew both rear cam seals. There's suction @ the oil cap, and nothing out the dipstick. I replaced with 2 new cam seals, a...

sunroof cover replacement
hello folks, The cloth cover on my sunroof cover is peeling. I have removed the cloth, and now I have the cardboard sunroof cover exposed. To remove it, I believe I'd have to tilt the sunroof and remove the 6 hex bolts (3 on each side), remove the glass, and remove the cover ... Here's the issue: I ...

Re: lifter tick and oil filter
I appreciate the response everyone, thank you I replaced the filter and gave the old one to the local lube place for proper disposal the ticking noise is there but on closer inspection, it appears to originate from the injector area and not the valve cover (used a scope to listen). The valvetrain is...

Re: lifter tick and oil filter
just to recap, this is assuming that I do not drain the oil in the oil pan, and just remove the oil filter (while there's oil in the pan still) .. will there be a lot of spill, or is all the oil held in the pan, lower than the filter housing, and therefore no risk of spilling?

lifter tick and oil filter
Hi everyone, long time reader, first time poster.. great forum :) I am trying to diagnose a constant lifter tick (warm or cold), and before I pull the oil pan and replace the o rings, I figured I keep it simple and start with the basics. I have read posts on how non-original oil filters may cause li...
