Re: Set of 4 Volvo steel wheels F/S

Google Maps shows as about a two hour drive down 87 (down as far as Suffern, and then east a little ways) or to Monroe and pick up the Palisades Parkway--we are just off Exit 13 on the Parkway. Or we could possibly meet part way--Monroe would be easy--at one of the mall parking lots--that would knoc...

Re: Set of 4 Volvo steel wheels F/S

Anyone interested make me an offer before they go into the trash?

Also--if anyone is interested, I have a decent front CV axle that needs tripod bearing replaced (and rebooted)--free to a good home.

Re: 2012 S60 T5 High Oil Consumption - Did you fix it?

In reply to Oragex, thank you for your comments. The PCV on this car is a Mann-Hummel built unit. They are a huge company that among other things mfg a wide range of oil separation/crankcase pressure control systems for engines from small to high HP diesels. The unit is fairly complex, I have not s...

2012 S60 dead/misfiring as a project car?

I found a bargain 2012 S60--misfiring and not driveable, but no more information than that. 150,000 miles, decent shape. I have not gone to look at it yet. Then I found the longish threads here and on Swedespeed about problems with oil consumption (and what sounds like cascade failure) on some 2012s...

Re: 2001 V70, low-ish miles, owner says it needs a new cat. Am I nuts to consider?

Looks like it is on hold, or not going to be sold--had an email back from the seller that his daughter is reconsidering the sale. Problem is (as we know)--if you can't do the work yourself, it is hard to dig in to an older car like this and pay shop rates--she'd be better of getting a Toyota... Not ...

2001 V70, low-ish miles, owner says it needs a new cat. Am I nuts to consider?

Haven't been hanging since we donated the V70--(Not completely rational--I seriously was on the way to the Emergency in such pain I thought if the car broke down, I would die on the side of the road--made me want newer and more reliable). So we picked up an Acura TSX wagon--optimistic that the car p...

Set of 4 Volvo steel wheels F/S

Kept these for snows (that I never got)--and the Volvo is gone. Set of 4 OEM Volvo wheels--Official Volvo branded, 6Jx15x43, 5-lug holes. One is slightly different (oval cutouts); the others have the round holes. Could use a clean up and paint before install. If you look carefully, you can see one e...

Any value in ?rebuildable 1999 V70 Base Front axle cores?

Haven't been around for a while--sold the Volvo when I got to sick to wrench myself. This week I'm cleaning up, and found the Volvo CV axle OEM cores that I insisted be returned when I was forced to get axle replacements in a hurry. Since I have not looked at these for at least four or five years I ...

Thanks guys.

Just lost a week to a medical emergency. I'm coherent again and starting to look.

Thinking about buying a V70 P2...

I have been keeping our 1999 going--but I have never really felt like it has been 100%. And my wife would really like A/C, and I don't feel like I have the patience to tackle that. Plus, the front end is still not 100%, despite an original rebuild, and a swap out of a subsequent failed control arm b...
