It is definitely not in a long tube. I had to snake my arm way down in just to feel the dipstick.

Can I buy this fluid at my local napa, or is this a dealer only item? I assume I should change the filter after the initial flush. Ill search the forum for that thread on the flush.

Thanks for the great info! I believe Ill start with checking the tcu and then do a drain and fill on it. If that doesn't work Ill dive in deeper!

Are these external solenoids on this transmission, or are they part of the valve body? And does the trans need to come out to change these?
