ok, thank you! after playing with the hazard button a few times, now everything works again -- hazards and turn signals, and tun signals DON'T light up if the key is not in the ignition if switched on). I expect this part might be failing again soon so thanks for the information and the picture best...

thank you, cn90! do I need to remove the radio or dash pieces to get the hazard switch out or can I gently pry it out from the front with enough clearance to slip whatever tab holds it on off to replace it? I'll watch out for the tab on the new hazard switch as you recommend.

You're right, but I actually got the Volvo bulb for 99 cents off eBay from a seller in my area.

I will remember what you said about the radio shack bulb should I need another in the future.
