Re: Ideal Idle

When things are right - they purr like kittens - no vibration whatsoever on my 1999. Motor mounts can be vibration culprits, vacuum leaks and dirty Idle Air Control Valve (IAC) are also things to look for. The IAC is used in 1998 model year and earlier in North American Markets - with 1999 on and E...

Re: Question about oil cooler and other unknown part.

Take care of this ASAP - a failed trans can make your car a parts car real quick. Bottom picture - that nipple is the coolant flush line for draining the block of cool...

Question about oil cooler and other unknown part.

I found a loose hardline on the bottom of what i think must be the oil cooler If that is an oil cooler, i can only assume lots of oil will come pouring out when i loos...

Ideal Idle

Hey guys! Im new to volvos and the 5 cylinder world all together, so im not sure what the ideal idle should be on these cars. I have a 97 850glt auto. I idle with the needle right below the 1k mark, so probably like 900 rpms or so, but it does feel a little rough. I can feel it a little more than i ...

broken bolt extraction failed

Hey guys Just completed a pcv system replacement a couple days ago, but in the process, when i tried to take off the vacuum tree, the bolt just snapped clean off into the intake manifold. I threw another code for the vacuum leak and diagnosed with a couple sprays of carb cleaner that i believe it is...
