I recently got my hands on a T5 855 that a previous owner did an R conversion on. I'm actually not sure the extent but I know he was a big fan of IPD. Only 150k miles on it.
I stage zeroed it, oil change, replaced some of the more rotted out rubber.
I've owned many 850s before but only ...

So I just found the problem (I hope.) I looked at the rear links and they are both pretty shot. To top it off, when I went to tighten my lugs the wheel just rolled forward because they were bad. Needless to say I'm replacing them asap. Is it the same part for both sides? or is there a left and a ...

So I went under the car the other day to find the heat shield above the muffler wobbling and clunking around like crazy. I ribbed out the rotted part, all excited to fix the problem but its still clunking. Time to check the links!

So yesterday I was hunting down the sound. I checked all my vacuum lines, everything was fine but I couldn't inspect the lines behind the manifold. I have the Snabb intake spacer so I just popped off the manifold to check..... well the manifold came off and as it turns out the Snabb spacer rotted ...

Awesome I'll give it a go this week. Will report back either way.

I'll try sometime this week. I know the car backwards and forwards it's just a matter of time spent chasing gremlins that I don't have anymore. Thanks for the direction!

Really quick, hopefully simple problem. I've got a constant hissing going on and I'm almost positive its a vacuum leak. The car is wonky when idling and the idle almost chokes out when I'm braking. There is no leak at the tree and I just want to get an opinion before taking off my manifold ...

Thanks! I'll check them in the next day or two. It seems like the most likely answer. This is kind of my final frontier for Volvo 850 work. It's the last part of the car I'm not intimately familiar with.
