Re: 2000 s70 n/a manual grinding noise

What would be telltale signs that it is effectively the case?
Also I found that it only happens when I accelerate just quick enough to be pushed back in my seat, and possibly the engine towards the fire wall. Could parts rub together? My engine mounts seem to be good.

2000 s70 n/a manual grinding noise

Hi all! I noticed that I hear a slight grinding noise that correlates with my rpms, but only when the car is in gear (M56 transmission) and independant of wheels turning. The noise kinda sounds like you were pulling a rake on pavement about once a second every 2ks the engine is turning, and is more ...

Re: 1999 V70 Misfire Troubleshoot

The oil in the engine cover *might* not necessarily mean a clogged PCV system, maybe the oil cap was never changed and turned into a rock, letting small amounts of oil out when the cams turn too fast. Mine had oil in but the PCV system was good (not perfectly clean but still had no symptoms and far ...

Re: S70 Window switch packs...

I bought one from alibaba for the same price two years ago and although I can't guarantee it's the same as this one, it's still working well. Upon receiving I did find that the switches and the body were made of cheaper material, slightly lighter and cracked more than the old one during installation...

Re: 2000 s70 n/a no spark

Well.. two good news and a bad one. First good; the car runs! :D Second good; you guys are awesome, and I want to thank everyone who's helped me Bad one; I am an idiot  I had checked the fuses when the car got towed home, and every fuse was ok, but since then I worked on the car and attempted ...

Re: 2000 s70 n/a no spark

But in the engine compartment no fuse is marked as 11b/4, only numbers like 1 2 or 3.
Is it the number 4 fuse?
Also, what do you mean by 'cross the ecm out', is it not something affected by this fuse? Is it something I should consider as 'ok'?
Thank you

Re: 2000 s70 n/a no spark

Also is there a difference between cam sensors on different models of p80 volvos? I had taken two sensors (physically identical to mine, this kind : http://www.mungoauction.com/cps2.jpg ) and compared the values to mine, and tested them on the car. None started the car, and values where identical, a...

Re: 2000 s70 n/a no spark

I have rechecked my values on another coil because they didn't make sense to me, and I can confirm the previous results, only 'always on' pin is 2 with 5vdc, pin 1 is intermittent at 12v when the car cranks. I have also checked the resistance in my ign coils, and compared them to one I took from ano...

Re: 2000 s70 n/a no spark

Okay, Pin 1 has intermittent 12vdc when attempting to start the car, which from what I understand means that the ECU is telling the ign coil to fire. Pin 2 has about 5vdc on it when ign is on. Pin 3 and 4 are dead. Does this mean that the ECU is good, but that the supply wire for the primary winding...
