Good News and Bad News. After painstakingly searching and testing, I located a wire going to my Variable Timing Valve Solenoid (???-I found 4 different names this part goes by while checking various part sites). It was missing a 1 inch section of wire, hence the open circuit. Sabotage? No, probably ...

An additional symptom noted today. When attempting hard acceleration (passing or hill) it bogs down. The motor volume/air intake? increases but it sounds like it's starving for fuel. Minimal acceleration.
