Do you got the pin layout for the relay? I suspect that the relay I got for replacement might be in wrong pinout order.

no need of reconfiguration just replace relays and that all. BTW Recently I've been in Sweden. Visited Volvo factory. But at that time you had 2002 MY :) Ah cool, so that means you might be the brain behind the brilliant idea of soldering the relays to the CEM.. mohaha "joke". SO you work...

So basicly just a single highbeam relay should be fine I supose or similar that is 12v and can take some amprage (30-40 amp).

CEM is bad I think. But if you know how to use solder that is doable. You need just to replace a relay. I think you know what to say to volvo engineers that created 'such a good' design. :) Instead of creating replaceable relays they 'just' soldered them inside. Yeah I know how to use a solder-iron...
