Re: Power steering rack brand opinions and experiences
I have been trying to figure out which S70 rack to buy for the past few months. There seems to be no consensus on which one is reliable. At some point I will just have to role the dice on something but I just wish there was a clear cut answer as I do not want to have to replace it again given the am...

Re: 1999 S70 Alternator wiring questions
The only alternators that have a ground wire connection are ones that have rubber isoalting mounts. The 5 cylinder ones and new (2000-2004 S40/V40 and the 15 and later using the new 2 litre "Drive-E" engines) have direct to bracket or engine mounting so the case is grounded by way of the ...

Re: 1999 S70 (2WD - Manual Transmission) Axle Installation
I only took the drivers side apart. I have not touched the passenger side yet. I doubt the tripod has become detached inside the boot. The unit is new (er.. Rebuilt from Volvo) and I was fairly gentle putting it in. It must be that I did not get the new axle all the way in so now neither side will t...

1999 S70 (2WD - Manual Transmission) Axle Installation
I'm in the middle of replacing my axles on my 1999 S70 GLT which has 2 wheel drive and a manual transmission. I purchased the rebuilt ones direct from Volvo dealer (about $350 for each side) after I found out Raxels were no longer able to get the parts to rebuild my old ones. So far I have replaced ...
