Re: Replacing fuel pump at 110k miles 2000 V70 GLT?
Thanks for the replies. I will wait longer before preemptively changing the fuel pump.

Replacing fuel pump at 110k miles 2000 V70 GLT?
I have a 2000 V70 GLT with about 110k miles. How long do the fuel pumps typically last? I don't drive long distance much but as the car gets older I would like to replace items that may leave me stranded before I'm ever stranded. Is it worthwhile to replace the fuel pump at 110k miles or is it a com...

Re: 205/65/15's on a 2000 V70 GLT and soon lowering
JRL - first of all my apologies for going radio silent. I have been dealing with family medical issues and my family has been living with my mother in law who was diagnosed with leukemia . I know you dug the rims out of storage in order to take the photos. Thanks for going out of your way to take ph...

Re: Do it yourself ABS module repair. (Success)
Thanks Ozark Lee!!! So here is my general take 1) If you have done any work on a car removing the ABS module is very straight forward. If you take your time you should have it out in less than 30-40 minutes. Once you have done it one time you should be able to get it out in less than 10 minutes. Ver...

Re: 205/65/15's on a 2000 V70 GLT and soon lowering
Thanks for the reply! Nice looking ride by the way! It is good to know that the tires are not sized correctly. I will need to decide on what I am going to do. I will definitely ditch the 205/65/15's. Reality is that unless I find a sweet deal on 16's I will have the 15's for another year or so. Why ...

Re: Temperature gage... stuck thermostat?
Thanks for the confirmation. In general driving in the moderate bay area the needle is pretty steady. Once you get in the mountains especially in cooler weather the needle jumps a bit more. The funny / not so funny thing is that it has been this way for the last few years. I will have to get on this...

205/65/15's on a 2000 V70 GLT and soon lowering
Please bear with me. I have a 2000 V70 GLT which currently has 205/65/15's. It is time to purchase new tires. However, within the next year or so I would like to install Eibach Pro-kit springs. It seems as the 205/65/15's currently rub when I turn sharp. Are these stock size tires or did someone ins...

Temperature gage... stuck thermostat?
With my 2000 V70 GLT I've noticed for a while that if it is cold and I'm driving down hills in the mountain that the temperature gage will dip down very low on the gage (probably the 2nd line or so). Under normal usage it is toward the middle. Even then the temperature gage varies another 2 or three...

awww.... much better now (clunking was due to loose end-lin)
:D Well.... I finally had more time tonight to jack up the whole front end. Checked out he driver side sway-bar end-link where it attaches to the strut and found it just a tad loose. I think this is due in part to using a rather thick craftsmen box wrench in between the ball joint and the sway-bar i...
