Looked in over the plastic timing belt cover. The timing belt is in place but has separated/frayed vertically several inches along the last groove of the belt.

Driving along the freeway couple days back and bam. The pulley on the alternator busted off and shredded the serpentine belt. Put it all back together and now she sounds like the cams are out of time. I peeked inside and the timing belt is coming apart but intact. I figure I need to re-time the cams...

PO removed the heater core hoses. Replace the heater core and the coupling. Going to put the hoses in today. Does the long hose go in the top or the bottom of the firewall connector or does it matter?

That is a great link. What about the black clips that stay in the tube? Can I replace those or do I need to do the whole tube?
