Sorry to resurrect such an old post...but I had the same symptoms, just a different cause (I believe) on my 99 V70 Base. I was experiencing the same issue: intermittent turn signal disfunction that would get worse with heat, except when I disassembled the unit all parts appeared to be in great shape...
