Re: Timing Conversion 1993 to Later Wider Style
Short version: yes, aside from the later-style parts, the only hardware you need to add is two M8×1.25×~40 mm flange bolts for the hydraulic tensioner body (Volvo 988179). The T45 pivot bolt for the tensioner roller is plug-and-play, no custom M10 needed. For best belt tracking, also use the later ...

Re: Timing Conversion 1993 to Later Wider Style
You’re seeing a few different fasteners get conflated. On the 850 timing setup there are three distinct things:
Hydraulic tensioner body bolts (2x): these fasten the hydraulic unit to the block. They’re M8×1.25 and the torque is 25 N·m (18 ft-lb), then +30° per Volvo. The later/wide-belt lever ...

Re: No start when at warm temperature
The “injector relay above the radiator” is a 7/9-series thing. On an 850 the relevant piece is relay #103 in the main fuse/relay box. It can fail on the ECU/injector side while the pump still runs, so “I hear the pump” doesn’t clear it.

Re: 98 S70 – Dash Out: What Else to Tackle?
The AC evaporator is in the HVAC core unit that requires dash removal. Its a $100 part with 10 hours of labor to replace, mostly due to dash replacement. That and strengthening blend door plastic would be on my list
I'll probably go ahead and add that to my list then. Any tips or tutorials on ...

98 S70 – Dash Out: What Else to Tackle?
Hey everyone,
I’ve recently pulled the dash on my 1998 S70 to replace some cracked trim around the instrument cluster left by the previous owner. While it’s out, I’m planning to repair a crack in the dash itself and reinforce a few broken mounting tabs using JB-Weld and a plastic-welder gun. Since ...

Re: 1999 S70 T5M Parasitic Draw
Perfect, good to know I'm on the right path. The next question, can I get away with just replacing the regulator ( https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/volvo- ... h-30667899 ) , or do I need to replace the entire unit?

1999 S70 T5M Parasitic Draw
Hey everyone,
I'm having a bit of a head-scratcher with a parasitic drain on my relatively new-to-me '99 S70 T5M, and I'm hoping you might have some insights or suggestions on what to try next.

Re: Anybody in the RTP, NC area with VIDA/DICE?
Actually, yeah. Kinda. I just got a new to me '99 S70 T5M and couldn't find my old setup, so I just fresh installed VIDA. I don't have a DICE cable yet, though I do have one of these coming: https://d5t5.com/eshop/detail/180/super-j2534-volvo-dice-9513000-replacement
