Im told that 42psi or 300kpa on a gauge connected to the fuel rail with a fluctuation of 2-3psi while driving is correct. Looks like pump is working then.

Ok. So I went ahead and rechecked it again to be 100% sure. At idle the fuel pressure test guage shows 42psi and about 300kpa. Also the needle moves each direction about half a psi.
