Re: Volvo Rebuilt ETMs
All the white labelled 2015 plus Volvo rebuilds of part numbers 36050563 and 36050564 have a Volvo branded Sacer style contactless sensor. Volvo stopped supplying yellow labelled ETMs in the late part of 2014. About 66% of faults on these are NOT with wiper films however the contactless inclusion p...

Re: Volvo Rebuilt ETMs
I know of the difference between the usual original white label and the rebuilt yellow label, but there's a completely different white label with no Magneti Marelli branding anywhere on it usually with a build date after mid 2014, those are the ones in particular I'm asking about. If it wasn't for t...

Re: 2001 c70 convertible roof problem
Very well could be a broken switch. Been there, done that with my V70. Best thing I can advise as a quick bodge is to just disconnect the latch for the time being and make very sure your key works! You can get a used one from a scrapper or ebay, new one from wherever you prefer. I would imagine that...

Volvo Replacement ETM, ifixit repair link, 36050563 and 36050564 (Yellow 2005-2014) (white 2015- on)
Does anyone happen to know if the Volvo rebuilt ETMs use a contactless sensor? Almost all the ones I've seen on ebay with just a Volvo sticker (no Magneti Marelli branding anywhere) built after 2014 have a revised looking sensor on the side that gets replaced in the contactless conversions and it lo...

I'm interested in the 1990. Pics and location would be awesome.

Re: Turbo swap!
Turbo parts car may be expensive, but I'll keep my eyes out. I think the only thing that the ECU would depend on is the key/immo unit (if that's separate) and then the transmission shouldn't be any different except for the final drive ratio, so with a turbo engine and N/A transmission, it'd take off...

Turbo swap!
TL;DR Engine is dying, what would be needed for a swap? Please no "sell the N/A and buy a turbo," I am aware that it would be less work, but I'm trying to keep this car for 2 reasons. It's my first, and my mom won't let me sell it  . I want to know what all I need and what I would hav...

Re: 1986 Volvo 740 ECU wiring
It's not the engine harness, it's the harness going back from the coil THROUGH the firewall and then to the ECU and fuse panel. I wish it was as easy as the engine harness.

1986 Volvo 740 ECU wiring
Hey guys! My 740 more or less tried to commit suicide  and torched a lot of the wiring coming from the ignition coil into the cabin. I know how to get the wiring going to the fuse panel out. But how do I remove the harness coming from the engine bay to the inside of the car? I want to tape that...
