Re: I love FCP - Why Buy Parts Anywhere Else?

I've been buying from FCP for three years. Got my 96 850 GLT in 2014 at 274k, from my Mom. Am at 312,298 and she runs smooth as silk. FCP ROCKS!!

854 T1 290034

Greetings,

The identifier plate under the hood of my 96 Volvo 850 GLT says this:

854 T1 290034

Was wondering if anyone here could tell me what that means?

Thanks

Re: 1995 850GLT Manual Removing Gear Shift w/out destroying..

I have found a gear shift knob that I want. Can't I just hack saw the stock gear shift knob off and just replace the knob with the aftermarket knob?

Re: Wire under the Air Cleaner

Last update- It's definitely the Cam Sensor. I ordered both the Cam Sensor and the Crank Sensor, just to be safe. The Crank Sensor arrived today. The Cam sensor arrives on Tuesday. Pulled the air cleaner assembly out and I can confirm that the connector on the Cam Sensor totally disintegrated, which...

Re: Wire under the Air Cleaner

Splicing in connectors is all I need, and I can do that myself for cheap. Having the entire sensor replaced still involves replacing the connector on the other side of the connection, and is not going to be affordable, so splicing on connectors, is the way I will go. Thanks to all, for input. Much a...

Re: Wire under the Air Cleaner

Pic from the web. Looks like it is the wires that connect to the Crank Sensor. http://ww2.justanswer.com/uploads/InTheIROC/2011-09-26_190827_cam_position_sensor.jpg http://data.motor-talk.de/data/galleries/0/51/8729/50551381/nockenwellensensor-5511923289181865679.jpg Is this it? http://www.partsgeek...

Re: Wire under the Air Cleaner

Looks to me like the wire for the crank sensor. Is the connector white? That's DEFINITELY something that needs to be replaced. I wouldn't mess with splicing wires for a vital sensor like that, because you could mess with signals and cause more no-start issues. Hmmmm... I don't recall if the connect...

Re: Wire under the Air Cleaner

That looks like a heavy current wire powering one of the fuse boxes? Yikes Could be. 21 year old car. Connectors had to be "Gorilla Taped" to reconnect them and hold the connectors together. Zip Ties to help with that. I'd really just like to unhook the battery, cut the connectors off, an...
