Transmission not catching any gears until Tcm is reset
I have a 1998 Volvo s70 GLT auto transmission. I started having the flashing arrow light about a year ago, I pulled the speed sensor on top of the transmission and cleaned it with brake cleaner, stuck it back in and never had a problem again for about 10,000 miles. A week ago it started flashing aga...

91 240 shifting issue/fuelpump issue
I have a 1991 Volvo 240 wagon auto-transmission, I started having an issue with the car losing power shortly after I heard the fuel pump buzzing. Well I changed the in-line pump with a Bosch pump and I still heard the buzzing so I changed the in-tank pump and sending unit together with a VDO unit......

Re: 1998 S70 GLT. Boost vacuum leak.
Sounds good to me! I bought it about 5,000 miles ago and already think it's very powerful. I won't cry about more power. Lol

1998 S70 GLT. Boost vacuum leak.
I just did a pcv replacement on my 98 S70 GLT with 182,000 miles and while the car was on the lift I noticed the turbo compressor vacuum line was completely disconnected. Could this be what's responsible for the rough idle upon startup?

Re: 1998 s70 glt. P0117 low voltage.
Really?! I never even considered that. I got a new connector for it from pull a part, gonna try that tomorrow, if that doesn't do I'll go ahead and get a new ect from the dealer. I have an oreilly brand in it now (import direct). Thanks!

1998 s70 glt. P0117 low voltage.
I have a 1998 s70 glt. It has a p0117 code. I went ahead and changed the engine coolant temp sensor and the thermostat and cleared the code, all was well for the first couple of drive cycles. Now the cel is back on with the same fault , I'm getting inaccurate temp on the gauge and the aux fan is run...

Re: 1998 s70 glt 180k fwd electric fan issues in cold.
Yeah sorry, I was referring to the radiator fan. The gauge does indeed stay on at the 3oclock position. I was thinking the ect as well, but I just find it very strange that it only runs when it's cold and not when it's hot. Would it really have a reverse effect if it's going bad?

1998 s70 glt 180k fwd electric fan issues in cold.
My electric fan only runs after I turn off the car when it's cold outside. I could be doing 90 on the interstate on a 70 degree day and nothing strange happens. But I've noticed in the last few weeks that going 70 on the interstate when it's below 45 degrees, after I turn off the car the auxiliary f...
