The stub axle has splines that fit into the hub bearing at the wheel, the mating splines in the hub may have stripped. And because you have a T6 you may have the same problem with the splines on the output shaft on the transmission. Look for missing out flattened splines on the inside of the inner C...

Either the dealer or a very good locksmith. I called the locksmith first and asked if I bought the key and remote from ebay would they cut and program it - they said no; so did the dealer. Better to do the homework part first then have to buy it twice.
