Re: Timing Belt Change - Aftermath

Those timing belt bits are stuffed in there like Subaru's sparkplugs. I never understand why Volvo didn't move the engine just 1 more inch away from the passenger fender to give more working room. Heck even half an inch would have made it so much easier.

Re: Questions about RIP kits and freezing problems

The problem is more with the intercooler freezing with humidity and oil that has got in there from worn turbo seals. I have posted several times that we can get the intercooler frozen here which can prevent the engine getting enough air to run at all in really bad cases and just have no power to mo...

Re: NA intake runners vs turbo

I have a variable intake manifold it's great when the thing actually works. Otherwise it's got no get up and go in the bottom end

Re: Looking at 98 V70 GLT turbo wagon....

Ok cool that all sounds great! Btw , what is LPT? is that the number designation for the motor? It is a turbo, correct? and has how many hp? I can't figure out the wiki chart! Also, the speedometer doesn't work, so miles are unlimited, but is that an easy fix? I am going back to look at it today an...

Re: 850 T5 Dealer Promotional film

I thought you might enjoy this film. I was looking for the Promotional film for the first R that got me so excited in 94. Cars just got better and better every year up through the early 2000s. Now they just get more gimmicky... Even brands i thought would never give in like RR have. Recently I went...

Re: Driving Light Mount Location

Be aware those aren’t legal in a lot of States and our LEO are actively ticketing the “ how much light can I spray?” Guys That's not an issue here with LED bulbs. It IS an issue to run the driving lights, or led light bars on the street. Those aren't street legal. I actually got pulled over when I ...

Re: Driving Light Mount Location

If they ship to the UK I don't mind being an intermediary. Failing that I know for a fact Amazon has heaps of brackets exactly like that for sale, as I've considered that approach previously myself. You should also be able to find premade aftermarket wiring harnesses. Plenty of those floating aroun...

Re: Driving Light Mount Location

Are you wanting to be able to fight back against the scourge of glare created by the new LED headlights? So they can be blinded also? Hahaha that's a honorable endeavor in itself. I already have those LED blasting headlights myself. Had to do something with all those brand new SUVs and Trucks aroun...

Re: Driving Light Mount Location

Thought I'd update the thread a little more. As I'm sure most people have figured out by now the original brackets, switch, relay and wiring from Volvo have long since been discontinued. So looks like I'll be sourcing my own materials locally. Found a place in sweden that makes a setup I really like...
