Re: need some info about a popular p80 engine upgrade

There's no reason to drive without a hood. Unless yours got ruined in a crash. 300 hp is not that much power to do something so drastic. S60r's make over 300hp on what is essentially the same engine. You should check out volvospeed they're more power and performance oriented on that forum. Basically...

I’ve got a black front bumper I would love to try to get to you if needed. I *** might**** be driving through on a Covid trip this summer to retrieve old people
If you do head towards the Midwest plan on stopping by my house in STL for a chef cooked meal. :D

Neat! I'm almost done with the restore of my '95. Remember to post lots of pictures! :-)

Re: Herman and Operation 30MPG

Quite frankly, I don't believe people claiming 30 mpg on these cars. Sorry for the late reply, I actually used to do 34 MPG on my 96 wagon (non turbo) between Denver and St. Louis doing about 85 the whole way. I'd change the name of the thread to "Herman's Build Thread" but I don't have sufficient ...

Re: Ideas for parts cars and project

I think the question that wasn't asked is: track car or street car, and what are inspections like where you live?

Re: Does rear O2 sensor change engine management?

260k, that's no slouch of a '95! I'd say 260K isn't so bad either. I swear this car has nine lives. One family owned (been a dd for 8 different family members!), has been threatened to be donated at least a half dozen times, but I can just never pull the trigger. I even posted just a few weeks ago ...

Re: AC Clutch Tie Wrap Job Follow-up

Well, we'll see how long my tie wrap fix lasts. I have to say that the fit is just so tight that I can't imagine them working their way loose with or without super glue. The nice thing about the guitar pick idea is that you can choose any thickness you want. Honestly, I read a couple of threads abo...

Re: Thinking Outside The Usual Box...

I put a $25 an hour value on my Wrenching time to guide my process of balancing my parts money against my time. If I have a $50 cheaper part and a 2 hour job, that’s a wash and I’ll buy Volvo. URO makes a great air dam cover , you only have to drill three extra holes in it to make it fit. URO cooli...

Re: Thinking Outside The Usual Box...

I'm a dirty boy and I use URO coolant lines. I've also used cheap shocks and struts. Gasp. But my car was until recently used exclusively for delivery. So every penny counted. But I've put over 70,000 miles on my URO coolant hoses without an issue. Now that I think about it, it's probably about time...
