Re: Another glove box question

I put a hole through mine like Roberts video. Works like a charm. But I also removed the door and leave the glove box open. It wouldn't be one of my P80's without an open cubby hole. Also it's a good excuse to install larger cup holders. I use some of the mounting points for the glove box to bolt on...

Re: Another heater hose thread... (2017) URO Heater Hoses made in Thailand?

So I thought I'd weigh in on the uro hoses since I drive the most miles per year. Hahahaha. I replaced the entire cooling system with uro hoses besides the heater hoses which are original I think. I have the uro hoses but the quick connect in the firewall kept walking into the firewall when I tried ...

Re: Sellers not interested in selling...A little venting here...

I know exactly what you mean about CL sucking these days. Although I hate it, Facebook (Facebook is what I hate) Marketplace has been way better in St Louis lately. CL is full of scammers locally. Ive sold a bunch of stuff on the FB marketplace lately, and not one scammer. So I'd recommend trying th...

Re: 1999 S70 "AWD" Rescue Thread

It depends on whether you value awd or not. With enough added boost it's basically a nice to drive wrx at that point. I am not certain the torque strength of the first gen awd systems. At least strong enough for R power. But then again I would say that it could be very fun hahahaha. Seems like this ...

Wheelsup- I totally get where you're coming from. I'm on my second p80. I'll most likely end up getting a p2 after my current one dies. So here's the thing about working on your car, you may actually have to. There aren't as many new mechanics coming into the field as retiring. IIRC from school it's...

Re: Herman and Operation 30MPG

Quick update. Went north to visit my in-laws. Herman returned 26mpg on this trip, which is strange. Temp was about 70 F. I've switched from high mileage dino to high mileage synthetic as the price was only $2 more per 5 quarts. With it being memorial day weekend I might take a crack at that thermost...

Re: Difference between Sachs and OEM struts?

I bought a pair of oe Sachs for my v70 and now for my 2004 xc70. The ones for the v70 are both leaking and I feel the ones for the xc70 are spongy. I bought from fcp euro and didn't pay attention to the sticker color... Hi Feld, The Sachs quick strut 033078 for 2004 V70 seems decent with good revie...

Re: HELP with dashboard removal.

I am debating whether or not to tackle this job right now on my '95. If I had a second car I think I'd do it. But I'm having difficulty justifying two days of down time so that the smacking dash sound is less annoying. Incidently I found a piece of a dash mount on the floor yesterday. Not really a c...

Just a heads up. I got several cans of R134A from Walmart that will screw on both of my hoses but won't discharge. Even with a leak, he should of been able to feel the can get lighter.
This happened to me with some pag oil from Walmart last summer.
