Re: 98XC and 99 XC parts compatibility questions

The reason I think a new t-case is needed is because of sounds. Last winter I took out the drives haft because I heard something similar to a cowbell and the car would act like it was under load or towing, while driving. It spends, but is noisy as heck.

98XC and 99 XC parts compatibility questions

Hey crew, I'm looking for some insight, a local salvage yard has a 99XC with with 157XXX on it with a coil on plug setup (I think there was a split that year), turbo with less than 15,000 on it, and ran well until timing belt went. Will the turbo, propshaft, and transfer case fit my 98XC VIN ending ...

It's possible, I suppose. They were just 1156 LEDs and the cruise was off.

Re: 1998 V70XC RPMs increase with turn signal during cruise control

Finally resolution! I had still experienced the problem, without cruise on. The surging only occured when the bulb indicator lit, and because I had LEDs with no resistor packs, it was on whenever indicating (even though it was just brake bulbs). I finally remembered to get new incandescent bulbs. Th...

Re: 98 V70XC - No sound - SC-813

All fuses checked out. Everything I tested on the vehicle appeared functional. Couldn't get a proper test on the HU.

I took a gamble and purchased a new JVC HU and it all works now.

1998 V70XC RPMs increase with turn signal during cruise control

Okay guys, another weekend, another problem. This time, it's a long winded one. While cruise control is on, and I use a turn signal, the RPMs increase. It doesn't seem to do it below 75mph, and seems to increase by about 200 RPMs. Once the turn signal is off, they drop back down. It does not seem th...

Re: 98 V70XC - No sound - SC-813

Alright, so I took a 9volt battery and applied voltage to the harness for each speaker and each one popped individually, no weirdness. Unless there is some weird impedance somewhere, it's gotta be the head unit. I'll do a little more checking, then find a good unit, I guess.

98 V70XC - No sound - SC-813

Hey guys, wondering if any of you have experienced this issue. The other day radio worked fine when I got gas, got back in and restarted had no sound. The radio powers up, is illuminated, goes from tape to FM1 and FM2, and AM. All indicators change, like the ST, Dolby, and ASC. However, there is no ...
