Re: question on changing out control arm

Wow.. lower subframe to get a bolt out.. that is really a terrible design for something that will definitely be serviced (LCA). Maybe that's why all the videos I've watched are done on driver's side. :D I'm assuming (but have to ask) if the bolt has to come all the way out or does it unscrew enough...

Re: question on changing out control arm

Re: question on changing out control arm

It is easier and different on a 99 v70 to do than P2. If you work without a lift, it is better to remove the knuckle assembly to have more room. On P2 you will have the load of the knuckle assembly and strut on the LCA, same when you will have to put back the lower control arm onto the ball joint. I...

Re: New Member New to Volvo

This is what i found, but check with the year of your car. Doing the PCV with the assembly hose with the two banjo bolts, you will need to drain the coolant. Re: 2007 xc 70 turbo 230k miles

Do you mean this?
I think this is mostly oil vapor leaking. i've tried to tighten all the clamps but it was still leaking.
I changed with good silicone hoses and T-bolt clamps, works fine.
Someone here suggested that excessive leaking could be the cause of a bad breather system.

Re: Replace ball joints with control arms? ('04 XC)

Yes you might if you don't want to come back later. I did the whole front end at the same time with OEM parts, lemforder for the end links. OEM for the Inner & Outer tie rods. these ipd ball joints looks good too! A fitting tool with two M8x120mm screw to sit the ball joints, is very handy. Use a im...

Re: DO88.se Intercooler Pipe kit on S80

Hi, looks good! may i ask a few questions? I was considering a Do88 charge kit as well on my XC 2.5T as i have a Snaab inlet kit, on a stock turbo. Is your car had a remap or do you run a stock engine with a stock turbo? It does increase the air volume in the intercooler system is that ok with a sto...
