I've heard the inspections for Germany are notoriously thorough and difficult to pass with older vehicles.

Same, here in NC they barely even look at anything for inspections.

Yeah, I've always been confused by that. The AWDs are weird. Except the 2000 R, which got dual outlets.

In a perfect world we would be using spring clamp for constant tension but a worm gear will work if used correctly. I domt like the cheap clamps with a sharp edge. They just cut into the hose. The nicer more expensive clamps will have a nice beveled edge.

It takes a lot of time and patience. Once the halves are separated you will see how much plastic is holding onto the capsule. I took a sharp box cutter and scraped away plastic one layer at a time. It took hours. Always cut away from the capsule, not towards. Just in case you slip. There was minimal...
