Re: 2006 S60 2.5 T5 fuel electronic module
Unplug the connector from the PEM and touch battery positive to pin2 on the harness connector (Blue wire) and see if it runs. The feed pump you're testing grounds directly to the chassis which means it runs on DC voltage on some sort of duty cycle governed by the PEM. I'm not sure the PEM would not...

Re: 2006 S60 2.5 T5 fuel electronic module
What I'm not sure about is how the PEM communicates with the ECU to know what the level sensors are indicating. The PEM may not know thus duty cycling the feed pump all the time. The schem doesn't tag that line (pin 1 at the PEM from the ECU) as either can or lin data, so I'm thinking it's a one wa...

Re: 2006 S60 2.5 T5 fuel electronic module
The pump works it just doesn't pump from the driver's side of the saddle type tank. this tank can be completely empty on one side and full on the other side. Put a new sending unit on and the gas gauge worked for about two weeks and now it doesn't work any more. I'm thinking it's the PEM any other t...

2006 S60 2.5 T5 fuel electronic module
I have recently replaced the fuel pump on my s60 and it won't pump gas from the driver's side of the tank, I have removed the pump and rerouted the hosing to make sure there is no kinks in the hose, I have replaced the driver's side sending unit and now the gas gauge seems to be working although it ...

Re: At the end of my rope with my S60
when the fuel gauge stopped working I was looking right at it, it read about 1/3 full and then dropped straight to empty. When I turn the key to start position the needle doesn't move or even flicker, it's like it's not getting any power to it. all gauges work fine. the sending unit looks to be bran...

Re: At the end of my rope with my S60
NEW UPDATE!!!! I was looking at the fuel pump hose connections to make sure the were snug and then I got to looking at the actual plug itself. Most of the wires were melted together and one of the heavier gauge wire was almost severed in two so I pulled them apart fixed the wires and I think the sec...

Fuel pump is brand new and works great it just doesn't pull gas from the other side of the tank.shiloh51933 wrote: ↑14 Apr 2017, 06:39 I'll say it again, fuel pump is on way out!!
Sometimes they don't totally die, they'll work a little bit.

Re: At the end of my rope with my S60
Pull it back out. You have 2 level sensors. You did not hook them up properly (common mistake). I did that, the fuel pump supplies two black wires with a plug attached and the sending unit has and oranges wires with a plug. I tried switching them didn't work. On the top of the sending unit itself t...
