Re: Parting S70 T5 Manual - 11106 Astoria, NY

Unfortunately I just spoke with my mechanic and he just junked it 5 minutes ago. Much earlier than I expected.
Thanks

The shop is on 31st and 37th ave. Andreas Auto Repair. I you are interested in something in particular let me know what and how...

julesr_23 you were right. I finally got the axles put in and then went to another place to get the alignment done. The guy doing the alignment asked me why I was getting it done. So explained it quickly and he knew, he said the toe was off (wheels were pointing inward) and that was causing it. I tol...

Thanks for all the advice, it feels a little better after the lucas steering leak fix. But driving it this morning with the all the rain and melting slush a I had a couple of scary moments fighting the steering wheel and car didn't want to stay with me. I think I'll print out all this advice and sho...

The car isn't hard to steer, I can turn the wheel as normal. If there is a dip in the road on the drivers side only the wheel turns left, vice versa if there is a bump in the road on the drivers side only the wheel turns right. On uneven payment I feel like I am fighting the wheel to keep it straigh...

I've looked at the steering rack at fcp but my mechanic says he can get me one for the same price. Do you think I should go that route or insist him using fcp. He said I might need some other parts and he wouldn't know until he got to actually removing it and that's why he would rather get it. So yo...

Steering Problems, 1998 S70

Ok, where to start..This could be long but I'm going to try and keep it brief. My mechanic told me my passengers ball joint was bad. So I ordered 1 from fcp, they sent the wrong one didn't realize until I was getting the alignment done. Anyway ended up replacing both even though I replaced the drive...

I was wondering how you released the air without the refrigerant? I have an s70 and I put 2 cans in and the ac showed no improvement. I'm thinking about trying duracool this summer.
Thanks

It's interesting that so far everyone recommends copper plugs since the volvo manual says to use champion rc8pyp or equivalent for turbo models which I believe is a platinum plug. I looked for these plugs and didn't find much. Anyway how often do you change copper plugs?
