Any orange arrow on the dash?
No power: does it seem like its in limp mode?
Volvo had a recall for the ETS but unfortunately it was for 10 years.
Go to Autozone or somewhere and find out what CEL code it is.

Throttle position sensor would be my next thought.
Change the fuel relay?
Clean the ETM?

Seems like my issue on a 2000 v70. Hard to start first crank, then stop and do it again and fires right up. Runs fine until I shut it down and try to restart.
Are the check valve still available Jim?

Get well Robert!!

I changed my fuel pump relay and it solved my long crank to start issues.
Search on the forum. Been more than a few threads about the fuel pump relay.

I use a magnetic oil pan drain plug. Does your cruise control work? Do you see see "--------" in your speedometer at times? This is what I saw on a bad ABS module. (along with the orange arrow). Only time I saw that was after replacing the switch and rep lugging in the battery. I did have a brake and abs light on temporarily...

Or like cn90 said. See if your "W' button is stuck down. Pull up with tweezers or needle nose.
Base model so I don't think he has the "S" "E" or "W". Only "W"
