Re: 1998 S70 5-cylinder high-speed stalling and stuttering
HI, Thanks for the advice. The shop is a very reputable one that works on Volvo almost exclusively in Berkeley. I am sure they did the right things when replacing the cap, I just don't have the paper work in front of me. In reading over the last invoice, I realized that the shop has also replaced th...

Re: 1998 S70 5-cylinder high-speed stalling and stuttering
Hi, FLXC90, thanks for the quick response. There has never been any error codes. I believe when the shop replaced the cap, they replaced the wires, but not sure if they replaced the rotor and the plugs. Re: Signs of a failing ETM and its relation to the MAF senso
Hi, Thanks for the speedy reply. Do you have a sense of how much "full spark discharge replacement including rotor button and leads as well as cap" and "new spark plugs" will cost? If my S70 is indeed a late model, then the ETM maybe a culprit. Is the high-speed idling/loss of po...

Re: Signs of a failing ETM and its relation to the MAF senso
Hi, I am new to the forum, and though this was posted several years ago, it has been extremely helpful. I have a 98' S70 5-cylinder. About a month ago the car began to stall at speed when I take the foot off the gas pedal, or at low speed. I began to experience "hunting at idle" symptoms a...
