Wastegate will not adjust past 4psi -Turbo boost conundrum

2006 V70 R Seriously out of ideas except that the new turbo is bad. I had a qualified mechanic work on this project…. Despite adjusting the wastegate actuator up and down - the turbo only makes about 4psi of boost when not plugged in to the TCV. And with the TCV plugged in only about 10psi. TCV-repl...

Strange MAF error codes- not many symptoms

Thanks for reading this , My 2006 V70R. 209k miles, has a check engine light that is intermittent going away for a couple of days, before returning. The only really symptom I notice is a slow loss of boost power where it spools well sometimes hits 18 but slides down to 15 or 14psi. The other intermi...

Order of operations

Hi Everyone, I am in the process of doing the PCV on my 2006 V70R Automatic , its going well. However I look back and the radiator has buildup along one edge, so that's now next. There are lots of instructions, which obviously get the radiator and intercooler in and out via removing the front and to...

Re: 06 V70R haldex service- fill and drain and fill?

Thanks for tips.
Could I turn the back wheels by hand to stir the oil around ? Or as Blacklab hinted will I need to completely reassemble the drive shaft and each time?

06 V70R haldex service- fill and drain and fill?

The car has 192k on it and the haldex has never been serviced, so I will be replacing the pump and the filter and oil. I would like to drain it and fill it and then drain it. Does anyone know if it would be okay to do the rinsing fill with something other than the Volvo AOC Oil...like 75w 90 or? I w...

Damage to exhaust port on the block-how@#%#! am I

So I done messed up. I fought with the manifold when I really just missed taking a bolt out. I damaged the exhaust port ...see pictures. Does this mean I have to take the block out to have it ground smooth? Could it be done in place? Can I use some sort of high temp gasket sealer to fill the depress...

Turbo removel neccessary for Manifold and Flange Replacement?

Hi There, I searched all the multiple postings on this topic. And while other's posited the question there was not a conclusive answer when dealing with just exhaust manifold and flange replacement. Does the Turbo needed to be removed for Manifold and Flange Replacement? I have gotten enough loosene...
