Re: Multiple Error Codes

By "bad valve" I meant bad VVT controller valve- not the valves inside the combustion chamber

Re: Multiple Error Codes

I know this is kind of a late response, but the leak detection pump errors relate to a device that is an actual pump, located on the passenger side of the car just back of the fuel tank. I replaced mine just because I got tired of seeing the error code popping up. You have to raise the rear passenge...

Did you ever get this problem solved? I'm located in Tampa, pretty familiar with how this is done.

Re: CV axle skidding?

Are you sure that you installed the correct axle for this car? I had to replace mine and some places online didn't seem to recognize that the manual transmission uses a different size axle than the automatic transmission does.

Installing Vida 2014B on Windows 7 Ultimate not compatible with IE 11

I spent the past couple of days trying to install Vida 2014B on my Windows 7 Ultimate laptop, and got everything loaded properly only to have the program get stuck at the "localhost" page. After trying all sorts of other things that made no difference, I finally discovered that this versio...

Re: 2006 V70 2.5T Turbo stops/ stability control doesn't wor

I'm a little confused by your description. How is it that you know the turbo "stops?" And what do you mean by that? A turbocharger is a device with an extremely rapidly spinning turbine inside of it, its pretty unlikely that the turbine would stop spinning under the conditions you are desc...

Re: 2002 volvo s60 Do I have a bad engine computer?

THAT WAS IT! When Jimmy57 mentioned it to me earlier, it was in the context of whether I had the correct reluctor installed, and I merely counted the tines to see that I had the right one, I never examined it to see whether all of the tines were intact. It was, in fact, the smallest of the tines tha...

Re: 2002 s60 Is this the right way to set timing for VVT mo

If the cvvt mechanism is working properly, once you get the timing belt off you should be able to rotate the hub back and forth. Some of them are spring loaded, on my S60 it was not. This is part of the reason you need to be able to see the back end of the cam- the gear and hub mechanism can appear ...

Re: 2002 s60 Is this the right way to set timing for VVT mo

Sounds like you had the right idea. There are two things that absolutely must be correct- the position of the crankshaft, which you check by lining up the marks on the crank timing gear, and the position of the cams. Because the VVT hub allows the cam gears to turn on their own, the only way to be a...

Re: 2002 volvo s60 Do I have a bad engine computer?

Jimmy57 mentioned this to me when I first posted about my problem in June, I think the part you are talking about is called a reluctor, it is bolted to the intake cam and it is the rotating part that the cam sensor reads, I think it is a 10mm bolt IIRC. I looked at mine back in June, but that was on...
