Do you happen to know what years would work to swap the angle gear out? I have ordered the lower control arm with bushings and ball joint, and an outer tie rod end. The angle gear is going to require some saving.

Also why would turning the wheel stop the angle gear from making the noise?

Do I have to remove the strut to see what condition they are in? Or is there another way to check?

Hello everyone I am Patrick and I am new to the forum. I own a 1999 V70 XC and I just purchased a 1999 V70R. The XC is down due to turbocharger failure so I got the R to cruise while I repaired the XC but the R is already giving me some grief. When driving it will make a large POP sound then a grind...
