It was a FAE sensor from NAPA made in Spain .. it's gone in the garbage where it belongs.

Sorry for the delay in posting. The new Bosch ECT took care of it all ... car starts GREAT when cold. I guess the one from NAPA had me on a goose chase thinking it should work because it's a new part.... think again. BUY GOOD PARTS, PERIOD!

I am sorry and I do appreciate the wiring diagram ... but I am still at a loss of where the EZK is located on the car ... you say ecu which I am sure is the computer right kick panel. Where is this EZK?

Closed loop happens after the engine reaches operating temp. But with the wrong temp sensor the ECU won't know what the temp is and will go with a preset temp so it will stay in open loop. The idle control valve corrects idle speed at all temps.
