Re: DIY: 2005 Volvo XC90 2.5T: ATF, Angle Gear, AOC/RDiff Fluid
Create an elevated funnel from the 60 ml syringe body with an extended hard tubing, then just fill using gravity...as follows..simple. Once you have used the small syringe with tygon flex tubing (1 foot) plus a 2 foot tube length of stiff plastic tubing to remove the oil from the rear diff or Haldex...

Re: DIY 2005 XC90 2.5T Rear Brake (Parking Brake) Overhaul
actually, I changed the OEM rear parking shoes and disc brake pads and rotor using FCP Euro sourced parts at 127,000 miles and assumed they would work. In fact, I was really jamming on the parking brake thinking I did not have enough pressure on it, rather than assume that brand new brake shoes woul...

Re: 05 cx90 T2.5 reduce engine performance
My suggestions are that you look at two areas: 1) the crankshaft position sensor...if it or the crankshaft position sensor mounting bracket gets loose, then the ECM cannot confirm engine speed and it goes into limp mode. See the latest forum instructions for this one. 2) the ETM (electronic throttle...

Re: DIY 2005 XC90 2.5T Rear Brake (Parking Brake) Overhaul
Frankly, I changed out the OEM pads when the rear brake discs wore out around 127,000 miles. At that time, I replaced the discs (with are also designed for the drum brake system for the parking brake) and the parking brake pads. The installation was done properly, but the parking brake never worked ...

‘03 Volvo XC90 2.5T AWD – Crank Position Sensor and Mount Replacement due to P0017
Replacement of the Crank Position Sensor is required when P0017 – Crank Position Sensor code exists but can be a big problem when the Crank Position Sensor Mounting Bracket must also be replaced. This is due to the fact that the aft most T40 Torx bolt used to mount the bracket to the port side engi...

Re: Brake lights won't work, fuses, switch good
I experienced the same symptoms. Replaced all rear light bulbs (brake, turn, running) and used the electrical grease on them. No more problems.

Re: Noise from steering column while turning wheel
I had a similar event on my 2003 XC90 2.5T AWD. The noise was related to the rubbing of the metal steering column shaft against the rubbers sleeve at floor level when you turn the steering wheel. The shaft goes through the sleeve. The Sleeve is located just under the floor mat where the steering col...

XC90 2003 2.5t AWD - Brake Assist Service Required Simple Fix
After replacing the Brake Position Sensor on my 2003 Volvo XC90 2.5t AWD with 250,000 miles (which is located on the Brake Booster body) the car issued a 'Brake Assist Service Required' warning and a code P0573 (OBDII) which translates in Volvo code to-- ECM-900C -- Brake pedal sensor -- Signal too ...

Re: Experiencing slow electronic death 2003xc90
If you have a sunroof, the XC90 sunroof drains are notorious for becoming plugged with debris, backing up and overflowing down into the foot wells. You'll notice a sloshing sound and wet carpet. Lots of wiring goes on under the carpet...especially passenger side which can lead to: Yaw sensor floor a...
