Early 850 FL side light... almost free.

Hello Everyone,

I have an early-850 front left side light (the short version) to give away... It got sent in error by supplier and does not fit our 1994 850.
I don't want to put it in the bin. I'll send it to someone (Europe) for 5 Euros plus the cost of shipping

Re: How are my cylinders looking?

Hello,

Hey can you point me towards the model of boroscope that you bought? I'm intrigued as it seems you can "look back up to the spark plug hole that the wire has come through... Did you get it from Aliexpress?

Cheers, John.

Re: Serpentine belt idler pulley... 1997 B5254FS

So an update to my previous update...

I mentioned that a squeaking noise still persisted after changing the tensioner and idler pulley on the serpentine (accessory) belt. I thought it might be the water pump as other possibilities had been "eliminated".

Well... I got the car up on a lift as the ...

Re: Serpentine belt idler pulley... 1997 B5254FS

Hello,

Thanks for the reply. Indeed once the PS pump is loosened off the bracketry (no need to disconnect any lines to get it out of the way) it was quite easy to remove the bracket. There's one very long bolt accessible from the alternator side that holds it.

With the bracket/wheel on the bench ...

For Sale: Front left corner light 850/v70

Hello,

I ordered a front left corner light for our 95 Volvo 850.
A lens was sent but did not fit the car, so it's for sale.
Here are the front and rear views.

The lens is about 12.5cm tall... a bit too short for our car.

I am in France so can ...

Re: Strange whistling/whining noise 97 v70 20v Solved !

Hello,

Thanks for the replies! Indeed full marks to those who proposed a vacuum leak. Phew. Well, it wasn't so much a leak as a "pinch"... the rubber elbow from the intake manifold fitting buried behind/under the power steering pump had weakened to the point of pinching. As vacuum increased it got ...

Strange whistling/whining noise 97 v70 20v

Hello,

We have a rather strange noise that has just started on on 1997 V70 (B5254FS).
It could be described, by my wife, like a cheap alarm clock buzzer... whine?
Not a whistle... It does change with revs. It disappears on acceleration and is most
apparent at idle revs.

I would say that it is ...
