Re: Volvo S80 2007 Headlight lens replacement
My limited research on this stated that the oven method doesn't work on this glue for the Volvo S80 2007. Be interested in hearing others that have used the oven method for these early Volvo's.

Volvo S80 2007 Headlight lens replacement
I'm in the process of replacing the fogged and scratched plastic headlight lenses on my 2007 S80 and thought I'd share what I've learned! I viewed some online videos about this process and tried two different techniques; first technique involved the one I found online which uses a Dremel tool to cut...

Volvo S80 Headlight wiring harness replacement
Why is this so hard. I need to replace the wiring harnesses on both front halogen headlights of my 2007 S80. I can find a harness repair kit # 30763979 and a 30763980. Neither part description states whether it is for the left or right. Anyone done this and can confirm these are the part #s I need. ...

Airbox cover screws stripped-simple fix
My 2007 S80 air filter housing cover was loose. At least one screw that holds the cover down was stripped. I think I tried to fix this before with a drizzle of epoxy into the screw hole. Anyway I tried this quick fix that seems to be working well so far. Holding a 1 1/4 inch deck screw with a pair o...

Re: $10,000 S80 Challenge
Paul, what brand of front strut did you buy? I'm thinking of replacing mine with a quick strut but not sure which brand to buy. BTW I like the KYB video for the Land Rover strut replacement. One thing I noticed was where he put the crow bar to lower the ball joint for reinstallation. He put the tip ...

Re: 2007 S80 New hood latch switch not working
Well I procrastinated on this problem and it resolved itself. I'm guessing there was a stored code that finally cleared, so no more "hood open" alert on my dash display.

2007 S80 New hood latch switch not working
Finally broke down and replaced my hood release cable and one hood latch (the one with the micro switch-passenger side). Wrestled with the hood cable for quite a while but got it done. Then installed the new passenger side hood latch, just bolted it into position, tested that the hood was locking we...

Re: High Pitched Noise when accelerating: 2015 S80
If it's like the 2007 S80 it's an easy job. The sucking in and out reference is in reference to a PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) system test where you can put a rubber glove on the oil fill neck and if it fills with air then your not ventilating properly. I recall that mine failed this test an...
