Got the part this afternoon, wouldn't you know the car just kept starting without any problems today. Finally got it to fail. 1 screw, 2 screw, 3, pop out the steering column housing, unplug old antenna ring, plug in new and it started like a champ. And then started up again and again. Problem solved.

Scanned it several times. The one consistent code is P1081. Other scans produced codes that have been resolved and reset. But this P1081 keeps coming up.

For what it's worth, I had/have the same hard starting issue accompanied with rough and surging idle with an inconsistent ETS light. I replaced the MAS, to no success. I replaced the ETM (Xemodex part) and had to at the same time update the software at Volvo. No more rough and surging idle. Runs smo...
