Re: 2000 V70 XC Electronic Throttle Module Malfunction
Does what turn off? The whole car? Just turned it on (engine off) and it stays on. So if that's what you meant I really think it needs reprogramming...that wouldn't affect the fan or radio though right? Separate issues? As far as being "one of the flock"...sheep needs to be able to move so...

Re: 2000 V70 XC Electronic Throttle Module Malfunction
UPDATE: The ETM from the junk lot was installed and seems to be working (except for the cruise control) so I'm pretty sure I need it programmed at the dealership still if I want to use that. Also, for some reason the radio and engine fan aren't working either...not sure what that's about. Either way...

I'm sorry...I missed that last part. I can return it if it doesn't work.

Re: 2000 V70 XC Electronic Throttle Module Malfunction
The U-Pull-It here doesn't work that way...I can't bring my car onto the lot. It wasn't that much work to remove since someone had already removed the fan and the car was on blocks...it was just a matter of unscrewing some stuff and $50 bucks so it's worth it to me to just give it a try.

Re: 2000 V70 XC Electronic Throttle Module Malfunction
Found a really clean looking ETM at the junkyard today on a wrecked version of my car only it's 2001. Here's hoping it works. I also doped out and pulled two lock actuators from the front driver and passenger sides since my front passenger and rear driver actuators are going out...didn't think to as...

Re: how do I remove ETM
I have a 2000 Volvo V70 XC turbo with ETM issues. Cleaning at the mechanic didn't work so I'm going to the local Pull-n-pay to see if I can find the part. If I can, what tools will I need to remove the etm.

Re: 2000 V70 XC Electronic Throttle Module Malfunction
Just to be sure, can you look at this? I'm sorry...I really don't want to spend the money if it won't even work for my car. I do appreciate all of your help!

Re: 2000 V70 XC Electronic Throttle Module Malfunction
I just found a Xemodex on eBay but I need to know quick if it matters that it was for a non-turbo? Mine is turbo and I know I'll have to get it programmed, but is it the same part or do they make different parts for turbo vs non-turbo???

Re: 2000 V70 XC Electronic Throttle Module Malfunction
I knew that as far as it being a plug and play, but I could still get it re-programmed at the dealership correct?
