Hello.

I have just completed some repairs to get car to start. New A/C pulley, serpentine and Plugs. There was also a new Crank Position Sensor put in.

Car started up fine, idled well, A/C came on and cycled fine, so I took it out for a drive. Less than a mile later at a stop sign, idle starts ...

UPDATE:

New pulley and magnet installed, new serpentine belt and plugs. All put back together, car starts and runs well initially and A/C blows cold.

Took for a test ride. About mile into it, no power or real acceleration. Get home and idle jumps and codes , P2172 and P1630.

Urgent Service ...

After all the testing and trial and errors, I finally had an assistant try to start the car while I was under the hood.

The issue was the A/C pulley is seized and would not allow fast enough cranking of engine. Pulled belt off and tried and she fired right up.

Serpentine belt off, car starts right up without using starting fluid. Idling rough, but that could be voltage related.

So, where can I get just the clutch and pulley items? Do not want to crack open the system if I can avoid it.

OK, discovered a new issue.

I felt that the car, even with a fully charged battery and all plugs pulled out, turned over quickly. so I decided to check fuses and the A/C fuse is blown. Replaced and it blew again.

I decided to get an assistant from the house, she cranked it over as I watched and ...

Tested fuel pressure today and captured data and need more thoughts.

Fuel pressure was 52psi and holding.

Compression test as follows

I will check that next, but it did just have a valve job a couple 1000 miles ago.

Ok today's results or lack there of.

Installed new OEM Crank Position Sensor and its holder. LEt me tell you, the holder is one mother to get off! If I was given any super power, it would be the ability to shrink my hands down to that of a 3 year old yet still have the strength of a grown man ...

Ok to recap for my understanding.

The thought is; if I pull plugs, spray starting fluid in each, re-plug and attempt starting. If it seems like it will fire (though not long or well) it tells me I have a no fuel situation. Then that could signal that the crank position sensor is faulty and not ...
