the top of the resevoir had to hair line cracks in them for quite sometime. i replaced the resevoir but same thing happeing. i did not replace the cap, but have ordered one that should be here today or tomorrow.

Ok checked Amp draw Removed negative cable Put postive amp lead on negative cable Put negative lead on negative battery post Result 0.8 amps. Is this enough to cause this ? Vehicle throw a message slow down or shift up engine light blinks then goes away.
car does drives normal, no performance issues.
all coils and plugs replaced as i did read this could be an issue.

Put some Bosch iridiums or NGK iridiums and call it a day. Do NOT PUT IN random off brand ones, cars are sensitive to that and we have had past members have issues with weird brands such as E3. Stick to BOSCH iridiums (ran this in my 98 v70, i think its a near identical engine to yours) or NGK irid...
