Here is a simple, DIY P80 cupholder mod I did...
I'm glad wrybread brought this up tonight. 1. I obtained a "folding drink holder". These can be found online and in many car parts stores. The tan I got closely, but not perfectly, matches the tan plastic in my 96 850. 5.jpg 2. I got some mending plates, I think these came from HD or Lowe's. I had t...

Re: Cup holder recommendations?
I need to come up with a better system for holding cups. The built-in one between the seats in my 2000 S70 is just too janky. Has anyone found something that they've found works well in these cars? I had a '98 V70 with the armrest cup holder; didn't like it but I lived with it. When I got my 850, a...

Broken checkstrap plate... first time I've heard of this
The threaded plate that is tack welded into the door pillar on my 96 850 wagon has given way and fully detached. Looks like there has been a problem with it for awhile. Removed the rubber boot, and disconnected the star bolt. The plate fell into the recess of the door pillar. I was able to raise it ...

Re: Manual Climate Control control unit lights Topic is solved
So, there is the black part with the knobs, I get how that comes off, unplugs, set it aside. Then there is the white part where the bulbs live, which is held in with screws to the dashboard. Once those screws are removed, are you saying the white part can be disconnected from the cables and pushed f...

Re: Manual Climate Control control unit lights Topic is solved
Did you ever figure out how to replace the bulbs in the MCC unit? It doesn't slide out like the ECC due to all the cable connections. I think they are T5 bulbs, but I might be wrong. Is is possible to replace the bulbs with the radio removed or you have to pull the dash and disconnect linkage to be ...

Nice work! How much is left of that black '98? It must be picked pretty clean by now. Did you use the control arms from that one for the green one? The passenger side control arm is only 2-3 years old, not sure about the driver side.

Re: No start - Running out of options
I think you are onto something with the key chip, but what about the ignition switch itself?
