Re: Replacing 2004 V70 Power Steering Reservoir with 05?
Seems great- just make sure you secure the hoses well. It's a little annoying that they're on the bottom and you can't see if there is a leak, but the reservoir itself is not leaking and the fluid is not getting nasty like it was with the original.

Re: Replacing 2004 V70 Power Steering Reservoir with 05?
I just want to give a quick update on this. I picked up a nice looking used reservoir (05+ style) for cheap on eBay and decided to forgo buying any new hoses and see if the old ones would fit before slapping 90$ on the table for a 2 ft piece of rubber. It took a tiny amount of finagling, but the old...

Replacing 2004 V70 Power Steering Reservoir with 05?
Hey all- I have a little bit of reservoir leakage on my 04 V70 (it's the reservoir with some sort of little blow off cap on the top). It looks like the 30665496 reservoir on fcp euro doesn't have the little blow off cap anymore, but I also looked at the '05 design and it has both nipples on the bott...

2004 V70 Unstable on Highway
Hey all- I'm having kind of a weird issue with my 04 V70 2.5T with 167k. When I drive on the highway, the car just seems unstable to the point where I have to keep both hands at 10 and 2 It doesn't pull, but it just feels like the steering is slightly loose and the car won't just stay solidly straig...

2004 V70 Rear Flexible Brake Line Replacement
Hi all- I just did a rear rotor/pad replacement this afternoon on the V70, and was HOPING to include a brake line replacement, but they (at least the passenger rear side) are surprisingly difficult to access at the flex-to-hardline connection! Does anyone have words of wisdom on getting a wrench int...

Re: '08 S60 2.5T stutter on start
Hey fellow Minnesotan- I just had a very similar problem with my '04 2.5T- it was fine after I bought it, but progressively got worse with regards to starting and seemingly worse with the onset of winter. What ended up solving my issue was changing the fuel to strictly 91 octane. 89 was not cutting ...

Re: How-to: Replacing the Thermostat Housing on a Newer P2 Without Touching the Power Steering
@oragex- I imagine the temp fluctuates quite a bit more when it's 30 degrees outside. In stop and go, my temp would be in the 90's, but the moment i went on the highway it would drop 10-15 degrees and stay there when the car is 'heated up'. Right now, I'm getting 85 minimum on the highway in 30 degr...
